Your group will be thoroughly entertained and with nothing but your own imagination, will travel to far off times and places, hear the distilled wisdom and wry humour of generations passed - and still be back in time for refreshments.
Would your group enjoy a reading of Dickens? Tolkien? Enid Blyton? (I’ll do Dostoyevski, if that’s your thing?)
BIOGRAPHY
A Suffolk boy, Andy Jennings, is a well-known storyteller. This is a unique opportunity to listen to well-spoken English by a trained performer, with a clutch of great stories and folk tales from around the British Isles as well as from all over the world. Watch an absorbing performance on stage, under a tree, or in a castle - with only words and actions used to describe - and 'see' his stories and characters come alive. He has a great love for the English language and is delighted to share his passion for communication when and where he can.
PIRATES
For ages 6-12yrs and 13-16yrs.
Crew needed! Stories and riddles and all you need to be a pirate! Choose your pirate name and that’s just the start! ‘We set sail at eight bells.’
SMUGGLERS
For ages 12yrs and above.
Smugglers and the tales they told. The East Coast has a rich history of smugglers and their exploits from ingenious hiding places to less-than-perfect parsons.
DICKENSIAN
"A Christmas Carol." Hear Britain's best-loved Christmas tale. See Charles Dickens in full evening dress tell his abridged version of his world-famous winter's tale.
"Introduction to the world of Charles Dickens" is available for students and book-lovers.
THE OLD STORIES
Representing 1000 years of storytelling including stories from Norse Mythology, 1001 Arabian Nights, Medieval, Pirates and Smuggler’s Tales, Charles Dickens, and WW1 Pacifists.
Conceived, researched and prepared by Andy Jennings.
VOICE OVER & NARRATION
Andy's spectacular tones and rich mellow vocal talents have been put to use many ways over the years but he’s now putting his voice out there.
